As our first destination after happy holidays we have chosen, very well known for ski-jumping sports fans, Engelberg.
We got there with only one stopover in Luzern. The village is placed in a stunning valley surrounded by mountains from
all sides. Because the weather was excellent, we decided to take a cable car up to Titlis (3238 m above sea level).
Like in all popular destinations in Switzerland, cable car to Titlis is expensive even for train cards holders.
At the top one can find many attractions: the highest elevation suspension bridge in Europe, glacier cave,
skiing slopes and hiking routes. Our next stop was a small lake, Trüebsee settled below Titlis and accessible
by the same cable car. Honestly, the place is lovely but crowds of people there can be exhausting.
Anyway, the view from the there was terrific and I hope pictures can describe it better than words.
